So to continue the petrification showcase! Tentacles and Statufying in one go!
A fine example from the world of Wild Arms, in this case, Wild Arms 3, which probably has more different styles of petrification than its predecessors and successors.
At first, when I played the game I was rather excited at having a petrify spell right from the off. Then slightly disappointed when it was just an earth elemental damage spell.
However later on in the game, we get two actual petrification styles in the form of Glass Statue and Bronze Countdown.
The former turns your character into a glass statue (obviously) which becomes instant KO if your glass statue is struck with a physical attack.
The latter, which I have portrayed, starts a countdown if successful, it slows down your character initially, then turns the character into a bronze statue when the timer reaches zero. Here we see Jet enduro almost completely bronzed (hence the number 1 digit flashing above his head)!
Very few enemies seem to be able to inflict the status effect, but one of them happens to be a large godzilla-like blob thing with tentacles.
